Large 72m by 30m competition arena

Our competition arena includes a full set of professional show jumps. The surface is polypropylene fibres and silica sand and is regularly watered throughout the summer months to ensure a perfect footing for showjumping horses. The arena with the full competition course is available to hire to individuals and groups, 7 days a week.

Church Farm Stables has 2 resident BS coaches on site but also welcomes some of the top coaches in the country who regularly use our facilities to train their own riders and horses.

A smaller 40m by 22m warm up arena is also the same footing and has an eight foot high surrounding fence. This is ideal for loose schooling young horses but only by appointment and on the few occasions when circumstances allow.

Large Grass arena

The large grass arena is one of the most iconic competition arenas in the Northwest. Only used during the summer months, the arena has many permanent obstacles including a Devils Dyke, a large bank, raised road and open water. This arena is available to hire with a full course of show jumps when the weather allows to avoid ruining the footing. The Church Farm Derby has been running for the last 28years, it incorporates all the permanent features and is one of the most sought-after titles of the Northwest Showjumping Calendar.
